It has the downside, however, of being higher priced to cover the cost of importing them. <em>The Waitress Was New</em> has been on my radar for ages, and recently arrived in store. Some of the others seem interesting too -- I bought Attila Bartis' <em>Tranquility</em> at the start of the year -- but one, Henri Michaux's <em>Stroke By Stroke</em> brings out the philistine in me, in that I can only describe it as pages of squiggles with the occasional paragraph tossed in.
