I have Tranquility too, Stewart. I'm really looking forward to that one! I read the first few pages online before I got it, and it really drew me in.

Looking forward to you joining the club, Randy! And Isabel, I think this is a temptation to give in to.

I like the design of the Archipelago titles, as one of the book stores I use orders them in. It has the downside, however, of being higher priced to cover the cost of importing them. The Waitress Was New has been on my radar for ages, and recently arrived in store. Some of the others seem interesting too -- I bought Attila Bartis' Tranquility at the start of the year -- but one, Henri Michaux's Stroke By Stroke brings out the philistine in me, in that I can only describe it as pages of squiggles with the occasional paragraph tossed in. Magdalena Tulli has come highly recommended to me, but I've not got round to her.

Trevor,

On wiki'ing Fabre, I see that thanks to Archipelago this is his first Englished book. Thanks for the review and the link. This is a great discovery for me! Seems to be a venture World Lit bibliophiles should be anxious to support, and I will add them to my blog.
Major coolness.

Oh, Trevor - this is such a temptation for me! Woe is me.

The good thing is since you live in the area, you will be able to attend readings and other events.

There is a non-profit gallery opening up here in New Orleans:
http://www.colabprojects.com/index.php

I hope this gallery and Archipelago Book can do well!
