As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, yesterday the Man Booker Prize winner for 2016 was announced, and it went to Paul Beatty’s The Sellout.
Chris reviewed the book for this site here, and there’s been a wonderful conversation about the book, carried on by those who loved it and those who hated it, over at The Mookse and the Gripes Goodreads page here. I also highly recommend the conversation that’s gone on about the shortlist and winner announcement here.
For those interested, now that 2016’s Booker season is in the books, the Goodreads page is stepping back to 1978, reading and discussing any of the books up for that year’s Booker Prize. You can check that out here.
I posted my reactions on my blog (here). will have to explore goodreads later tonight. the reaction from Guardian and Telegraph has been interesting
