Though I was truly enjoying the story, I kept putting the book down for longer and longer periods of time. When two weeks had past without my picking it up, I considered it abandoned. I hope to return to it some day.<\/p>\n<p>The two finalists for the prize were <strong><em>The Son<\/em><\/strong>, by Philipp Meyer, and <strong><em>The Woman Who Lost Her Soul<\/em><\/strong>, by Bob Shacochis.<\/p>\n<p>I have <em>The Son<\/em>, and I&#8217;m looking forward to it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This year&#8217;s Pulitzer Prize winner and finalists have
