The winner gets $3,000.<\/p>\n<p>Usually this prize does not announced longlists, so this is a treat &#8212; and, after the Best Translated Book Award, a welcome look at translated books (not all fiction, either). I am thrilled to have already covered\u00a0six of the ten the titles, with another two in the works.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Shantytown<\/em><\/strong>, by C\u00e9sar Aira, tr. from the Spanish by Chris Andrews (my review <a href=\"http:\/\/mookseandgripes.com\/reviews\/2013\/12\/04\/cesar-aira-shantytown\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Twists and Turns in the Heart\u2019s Antarctic<\/em><\/strong>, by H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Cixous, tr. from the French by Beverley Bie Brahic<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>An Armenian Sketchbook<\/em><\/strong>, by Vasily Grossman, tr. from the Russian by Elizabeth &amp;
