Recently Broadway Books reissued four of Tim O’Brien’s novels: If I Die in a Combat Zone, Box Me Up and Ship Me Home<\/em> (1973), Northern Lights<\/em> (1975), Going After Cacciato<\/em> (1978), and Tomcat in Love<\/em> (1998). O’Brien is probably best known for his novel\/linked story collection The Things They Carried<\/em>, which I’ve loved for a long time and wrote about in the early days of this blog (here<\/a>). These reissues have given me a good excuse to go back to O’Brien and see what else he’s been up to (I’ve been particularly interested in Going After Cacciato<\/em>).<\/p>\n
