\"AugustSo: a one-night stand with a stranger after ending a relationship. As familiar as this is in\u00a0New Yorker<\/em> fiction — I referred to this in a quip just at the end of last week — I hope that Sittenfeld does it better than most. I’ve never read any of Sittenfeld’s five novels, but I know readers I appreciate hold her in some esteem, so I’m looking forward to getting to know her a bit with this story . . . I hope she does the trope better.<\/p>\n
