\"An Honest Woman\"<\/strong><\/span>\r\nby Ottessa Moshfegh<\/span>\r\nOriginally published in the October 24, 2016 issue of The New Yorker<\/em>.<\/span><\/pre>\n
\"october-24-2016\"<\/a>Otttessa Moshfegh’s novel,\u00a0Eileen<\/em>, is on this year’s Man Booker Prize shortlist, and we will learn whether it won next Tuesday. I’m sad to say I still haven’t read it, but I’m very interested in getting to know Moshfegh’s work better. She has a collection of stories coming out next January\u00a0from Penguin entitled\u00a0Homesick for Another World<\/em>. I have a copy of it at home, and\u00a0“An Honest Woman” is part of it. I have heard from those who know her work better that short stories are her real strength (to date), and early reports are that this is a fantastic collection. Glad we have a chance to preview it together!<\/p>\n
