Nearly a decade ago The Criterion Collection lost the rights to release nearly all of their films that were licensed from StudioCanal. It created a hole in their collection, with some great films now out of print with no promise of return.'In the years since a few have been released by LionsGate, but most sat languishing and unavailable. A year or so ago there were rumors some would be returning. Today, Criterion announced what they're releasing in April, and finally, with Jean-Pierre Melville's <em>Army of Shadows<\/em>, we see some hope of return. I was lucky enough to purchase this before it went out of print, but no longer will folks have to spend so much money to see this important film. Here's hope more will be coming!<\/p>\n<p>Of course, that's just one bit of news. There are some great releases coming in April. Check them out below.
