2014 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award Winner

The Sound of Things Falling UK

Winning the trophy and the €100,000, is Juan Gabriel Vásquez’s The Sound of Things Falling, translated from the Spanish by Anne McLean (the award is split €75,000 to Vásquez and €25,000 to McLean).

This year’s winner carries on the IMPAC’s admirable tradition of looking at literature in translation.
