The Eclipse Viewer Episode 20: A Conversation with Michael Koresky

EV 20

David and I are back with another episode of The Eclipse Viewer, the podcast dedicated to the Criterion Collection’s Eclipse Series of DVDs.

In this special episode, we have a conversation with Michael Koresky, staff writer for The Criterion Collection and the author of all but a handful of the essays that accompany each entry into the Eclipse series.

It was great to sit down and chat with Koresky about the Eclipse line — its origins, mission, future — with someone so closely involved, especially as Koresky’s work is an important gateway into the films covered in the Eclipse series. As I mentioned in my review of his Terence Davies yesterday (see here), through these essays I’ve come to know and deeply respect Koresky’s film writing. This was a fun conversation for me, but I am confident it will be fun for all fans of The Criterion Collection!
