As 2021 comes to a close, Paul and I reflect on our favorite books we read this past year. Once again, we had a lot of lovely comments from listeners that we share! This is Part I, which covers our numbers 10 – 6. Next week we will release our top five of 2021.
Here is our Episode 16 table at Bookshop.org, where you can see all of the books we listed as our 10 – 6.
We hope you enjoy this episode!
The Mookse and the Gripes Podcast is a book chat podcast. Every few weeks we are talking about some bookish topic or another.
Please join us! You can subscribe at Apple podcasts or go to the feed to import to your favorite podcatcher. You can also listen to us on YouTube, if that’s your thing (though I’m still trying to figure that out, so be patient if there are some strange uploads and re-uploads).
Many thanks to those who helped make this possible! If you’d like to donate as well, please visit our Patreon page. We have been reworking the Patreon, and I’m excited that I figured out how to get Patreon subscribers early access to our episodes! Every supporter has their own feed that he or she can use in their podcast app of choice to download our episodes a few days early. We are also working on bonus episodes for certain tiers, since we really want to show our thanks. Please go check it out!
Do you have shownotes somewhere?
Hi Jenny! I don’t have larges show notes, but I did add a link to the Bookstore.org table where all ten books are easy to see! Thanks for asking, as I haven’t been doing that work the last few episodes because I didn’t know if anyone cared :-)
What was the name of the book by the Serbian author? I can’t figure out the right spelling.
Hi Rich, I think you’re referring to Götz and Meyer from our episode 17, but if I’m wrong and you meant a book from episode 16 then I will search harder :-) .
Götz and Meyer is by David Albahari, and you can learn more about it here!
That’s the one, thanks! Tried different spellings – “Gertz,” “Gertz” etc… should have known it was the umlaut that would trip me up. Thank you – enjoy the podcast and website too!
