Today the National Book Foundation has announced the Poetry and the Nonfiction Longlists (the longlist for Fiction will be announced tomorrow).

    I really like these two categories come NBA time. I like nonfiction and poetry, but I don’t have my ear to the ground, so this is usually the first time I hear about the books on the list. Some of my favorite poetry discoveries have come directly because of the NBA.
