The 2020 Booker Prize Longlist
It’s that time of year! The Booker Prize longlist has been announced. The shortlist is scheduled to come out on September 15. Right now I don’t know the date the winner will be announced.
This list is surprising and unique in several ways. First, there are more women writers on this longlist than on any Booker longlist of the past. Most of these are debut novels. And, in what for me is a less impressive development, there are nine U.S. based authors.
