Joined by my long-time book friend, Paul Wilson, I’m thrilled to reboot The Mookse and the Gripes Podcast! This debut episode is all about getting to know us . . . through the books we have not read! We each list our five bucket-list books! At least, as the wind was blowing that day!
The podcast in general is just a book chat podcast. Every few weeks we are talking about some bookish topic or another.
Please join us! You can subscribe at Apple podcasts or go to the feed to import to your favorite podcatcher. You can also listen to us on YouTube, if that’s your thing . . . I’ll post that below.
We have a lot of episodes recorded already, so the plan is to keep this going bi-weekly for as long as we can stand it . . . and I think we’ll be able to keep going for a long time.

Just a mention of how much I enjoyed the relaxed almost fireside chat mood to the podcast. Also thanks for the recommendation of the Tim Robinson books. My own book bucket list keeps changing as time limitations get more realistic. I feel I should get to Proust in the next two years. But as I add and subtract books from the list it is fun to ponder why some of my oldest are even there. For some reason I have had Robert Browning’s The Ring and the Book is there but I no longer remember my original motivation for wanting to read it. I hope the bucket list will be revisited in future podcasts to see progress or the books have changed.
Thanks, Sam. I appreciate the feedback, and fireside chat is definitely the vibe we are interested in!
I also love your idea of us checking in every once in a while to see if our bucket list has changed or if we’ve made some progress! We will do that!
