Damon Galgut’s The Promise is the winner of the 2021 Booker Prize!
I have not read The Promise yet, though I have a copy and will be reading it soon, but I was hoping he’d take the prize this year all the same. I have loved his books in the past — indeed, I would have given the prize to In a Strange Room back in 2010.
