Congratulations to Naomi Alderman! Her “feminist science fiction” book, The Power, in which women and girls can kill men simply by touching them, won the 2017 Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction today. It was the consensus choice of The Mookse and the Gripes Goodreads Group as well!
Sadly, the U.S. edition of the book doesn’t come out until October, but there are UK editions available to purchase here. And Alderman has a backlist that may be worth checking out!
